EPIC Thought of The Day – The Bold Presentation Personality

Have you ever found yourself sitting in front of a client, or a prospect, presenting your business and they seemed to be in a hurry? Or, they seemed very direct, saying what they think, often interrupting you?

One could consider them to be quite blunt and they have no, or little hesitation in stating their opinion over yours.

Have you ever been involved in a presentation like that? Well, if you have then you have been presenting to the Bold Presentation Personality.

The bold presentation personality:

·      Are very direct

·      Provides alternatives quickly

·      Navigates to ensure they win

·      Gives immediate feedback

·      Concentrates on the subject at hand

·      Act quickly

When you are presenting to a bold presentation personality, their opinion is going to be the most important opinion in the room.

So, how do you deal with this bold type of audience?

The answer is in the question. You need to become a direct presenter. You need to provide alternatives, ensuring ‘everyone wins’ and you open the door for immediate feedback. You are succinct, to the point and you focus only on the issues that matter.

Here’s my challenge for you today, the next time you find yourself in front of a bold presentation personality, follow the tips I’ve given you today.

Be direct. Provide alternatives. Focus on the issues and what you will do is address their major concerns which revolve around, the bottom-line… where’s this going and what’s going to give me what I want?
